Abstract Submission Guidelines

CMCEE 2018 welcomed abstract submissions from researchers and practitioners working across ceramic materials and their applications in energy and environmental fields. Authors were invited to submit abstracts aligned with the conference theme, Ceramic Technologies for Sustainable Development.

Submissions were reviewed by the conference's scientific committee. Accepted abstracts were invited to register for the conference and present their work during the technical programme in Singapore.

The abstract submission process for CMCEE 2018 served as the gateway for researchers and practitioners worldwide to share their latest findings in ceramic materials and their applications across energy and environmental sectors. Authors were encouraged to align their submissions with the conference theme of sustainable development, reflecting the growing global demand for eco-friendly and efficient material solutions. Each abstract underwent careful review by the scientific committee, ensuring that the programme featured high-quality, relevant contributions from across the continents. Accepted abstracts formed the foundation of the technical sessions, enabling meaningful exchange among experts in advanced ceramics, components, and emerging technologies.

Submissions spanned a wide range of topics, including ceramic processing, structural and functional materials, energy conversion and storage systems, and environmental remediation technologies. The conference sought contributions that addressed the pressing challenges of population growth, increasing resource consumption, and the need for improved standards of living through advanced material science. Presenters were given the opportunity to showcase their work through oral presentations and poster sessions, fostering discussion and collaboration among attendees from academia, industry, and research institutions. The scientific committee prioritized originality, technical merit, and relevance to the conference's overarching goals of sustainability and innovation.

For authors whose abstracts were accepted, the next step involved completing conference registration and preparing their presentations for the planned programme. The submission and review process was designed to be transparent and efficient, allowing participants ample time to refine their work before the conference dates. By bringing together diverse perspectives from researchers across the globe, the abstract submission phase helped build a comprehensive technical programme that addressed both fundamental science and practical applications. This collaborative approach reinforced CMCEE 2018's role as a leading international forum for advancing ceramic technologies in support of sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
