Registration Overview

All accepted abstract authors were invited to register for the 12th International Conference on Ceramic Materials and Components for Energy and Environmental Applications (CMCEE 2018), held at the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre in Singapore.

Registration opened by 16 April 2018.

Authors with accepted abstracts were required to complete registration in order to present at the conference.

Registration marks the point at which interest in the conference becomes a genuine commitment. Attendees confirm their place, and authors whose abstracts have been accepted take the step that allows them to present their work to an international audience. The process is handled online, so participants can complete the necessary details from wherever they are based and receive confirmation without relying on paper correspondence. Because places and presentation slots are finite, timely registration helps the organisers plan sessions, allocate rooms, and prepare materials. It also gives delegates earlier access to the schedule and the practical information they need when arranging travel and accommodation around the event.

The conference draws together a broad community of researchers, engineers, students, and industry representatives who share an interest in ceramic materials and components for energy and environmental applications. Some come to present findings, others to listen, question, and compare approaches. The programme is organised into symposia that span a wide range of topics, from advanced manufacturing to performance in demanding conditions. Registration is what connects these dispersed groups, turning individual contributions into a coherent forum for discussion. For many participants it is the moment they begin planning which sessions to attend and which colleagues they hope to meet.

Once registered, participants gain access to the technical programme, including plenary lectures, invited talks, contributed presentations, and poster sessions. These formats are designed to encourage the exchange of ideas, allowing newcomers and established figures alike to discuss challenges and emerging directions. An associated exhibition gives suppliers and research organisations a chance to display products, instruments, and services relevant to the field. Breaks and social gatherings provide informal settings where collaborations often begin. Because the conference attracts delegates from many continents, registration also helps organisers anticipate attendance patterns and shape a schedule that balances depth with the opportunity to network.

The wider purpose of the conference is to support progress toward more sustainable technologies. Growing populations, expanding industry, and rising demand for energy place pressure on resources and ecosystems, and ceramic materials have a role to play in addressing those pressures. Components that withstand heat, corrosion, and wear can improve efficiency in energy production, transportation, and manufacturing, while environmental applications help reduce emissions and manage waste. Registration is a practical step, but it is also a statement of participation in that shared effort. By joining the forum, delegates contribute to a continuing conversation about how materials science can serve society responsibly.

How to Register

Registration for CMCEE 2018 was conducted online. Participants were directed to the official registration portal to secure their place at the conference.

Important Notes for Authors

Only authors whose abstracts had been accepted through the submission process were eligible to present at CMCEE 2018. Registration was a mandatory step following acceptance notification. Authors were advised to register promptly once the portal opened to secure their presentation slot.
